An explanation, of sorts
I’m sorry for my recent silence on Tumblr here. I really didn’t mean it to span days, but there have been reasons why it’s been necessary.
1. I’m off of work, which means less time on the train to write up and/or queue Tumblr posts.
2. I have an auto-immune disorder (or something akin to one; my doctor’s never pinned anything down for absolute certain) that affects...

Santa is a Gay Couple in Chelsea →
Why is this couple getting hundreds of letters addressed to Santa? And how can they go about fulfilling them?
The video at the bottom of the story is worth a watch. I’ve got warm Christmas fuzzies, and I don’t even celebrate it.

So...I'm going to be in a newspaper story...
Today’s been kind of weird. And crazy. Due to Anya’s work schedule getting switched around because of the holiday tomorrow, I took the 4:30am train into San Francisco and was in the office by 6:30. As a result, I left at 3pm to get home on the 3:40 train. Home before 6: what a luxury (shut up).
Anyway, this train is packed, and I’m exhausted and in a pretty pissy mood. A...

Skype users may be offered credits due to recent... →
Another article for my work. If you’re a paid user of Skype and were affected by yesterday’s outage, take note: credit vouchers could be coming your way.
Skype’s CEO has been super responsive in offering an apology about yesterday’s downtime, although mum’s the word on why it actually happened. Still, when I see companies that respond quickly to outages and offer...

I H8 RELIGION: The New Testament by Lev Novak →
ih8religion:
God: Hey Jews.
Jews: Hey.
God: So listen, guys, I’m thinking we go in a different direction with this whole religion.
Jews: What? God: You know, do a non-gritty reboot. Same God taste, new God packaging. That sort of thing. Jews: We don’t follow.
God: Okay, work with me here, guys….
Sorry…I couldn’t not reblog this. Every religion’s got to have its...

Website hosting issues (again)
To fellow DS members: Our server’s down with a 503 error. We’ve had this problem before and it has to do with us having exceeded our limit on concurrent connections. Why not just upgrade, you might ask? Easy. Every time we’ve called customer support, they can’t confirm that this will fix the problem.
Pretty ridiculous, right? If it doesn’t fix itself by tonight,...
