I somehow got accepted into a published author...
Free ebooks. Free ebooks everywhere.
/vaguely wonders if they’re all going to suck though.

More lists (they're convenient)
1. Hi new followers. I assume your lot found me via the Facebook group? If so, I’ve followed you back. *waves*
2. Had a cruddy morning for reasons I can’t really post here. I’m getting over myself now. Somewhat.
3. I got some really great feedback returned from my professor about one of my short stories. It’s the first non-ff.net comments I’ve...

Christ, you have a million things going on in your life. It’s kind of awesome. Also, in regards to #4, are you all right? D:
Yes, I do. Because I go mildly insane when I have nothing to do. So, of course, I overschedule myself and end up melting into an over-stressed puddle at the end of every day.
Wouldn’t have it any other way.
And as regards...

*offers hugs if hugs are okay right now*
They totally are and thanks. Stressed but not necessarily in a bad way. Just a busy one (where I have a life but it doesn’t feel like much of one and I don’t get it at all, honestly).
*hugs* back.

1. WTF Tumblr? Change is fine but not when I’m stressed. I actually said the first line out loud so now my coworkers are shooting me strange looks. Awesome.
2. Pinterest. For the last hour. I am now intimately familiar with Snaggit, but I’m making progress. For work, don’t ask.
3. Listening to “Rue’s Lullaby” by District Tribute while pinning things in...

Ugh
I got up this morning to go skating and felt terrible.
Correction: I was woken up at 2:30 this morning, couldn’t go back to sleep, and felt terrible by the time I was supposed to be going skating.
So much for exercise by way of gymnastics and skating for me.
ARGH.
On the plus side (I guess), I’ve slept all day, feel mildly better, and scrounged up a few publishers who are accepting...

Good weekend
Things have been a little rough this weekend, if only because Tatiana and I are seeing less and less of each other, given our individual activities.
Still, we had a pretty nice weekend.
Ballet class on Saturday went as usual, except my coach so really kicked my butt the day before that everything killed to do. At least I’m getting my $90 an hours worth from him, ne?
We went to a discount...

Stamina, or lack thereof
I got on the ice late this morning. My fault. I slept late.
So, there’s no point in paying my coach $90 an hour to watch me do stuff I know I can already do and my lesson’s in 20 minutes, so I’m just hustling through crap. My first axel was ridiculous because I didn’t warm up single anythings first, but after that I just started ticking stuff off.

If you don't look behind you while you're skating...
If you run into me while I’m spinning at centre ice because you’re not looking, I probably hate you.
Just thought I’d tack that in as well.

Well, not in large Midwestern cities. But in suburbs and small towns? Certainly.
Funny note, my parents’ first home cost $27,000. But this was back in the 1980s so it probably doesn’t matter.

afterromulus replied to your post: Wow i KNOW. People do amazing things with loft spaces around here!
This place is insane. I actually told her I’d love to commission something similar from her partner as a space for us to write and Tatiana to sew, but then I realised that’d probably set me back something crazy like $10K and was like lol, no, I’ll buy some frickin’...

Wow
A neighbour just showed me her loft, which is on the opposite end of the hallway from ours.
Now, granted, she probably pays $4K a month for the place and it’s not as deep, but it’s got an actual upstairs (and ceilings that have to be about 15 meters tall). And her partner freaking built a room from metal and wood on stilts for their kid. They use the underneath bit for storage and as...

captainconspicuous asked: Wowow, thank you so much for such an in-depth answer. What you've told me really makes a lot of sense-- I suppose I shouldn't get too excited/worried about it. I live in a generally small city, and though I've heard of people with names that do not stereotypically fit with their gender, I've never met anyone. I think I'll stick with Kim, then. It's me, you know? In...

Hey guys, I’m a 14 year old trans* guy living in Canada. (: I just got my binder (yay), and my next step is my name. The thing is, I went through a lot of names I liked, but I find my given name hard to give up and at the same time possibly ok to keep. Kim. So, I needed to ask, Is Kim good enough? I know it’s a gender-neutral name, which fits my identification of genderqueer or...
