Wowow, thank you so much for such an in-depth answer. What you've told me really makes a lot of sense-- I suppose I shouldn't get too excited/worried about it. I live in a generally small city, and though I've heard of people with names that do not stereotypically fit with their gender, I've never met anyone. I think I'll stick with Kim, then. It's me, you know? In the end, I believe in myself and I'm so, so glad I'm not alone. Thanks a million (I agree about the binder-- nicest feeling ever). You are more than welcome. And keep in mind (not to sound old as dirt on my end but…I’m gonna) you’re still young. Maybe you’ll change your mind on names later on and you know what? That’s perfectly fine. It’s your name, your life. You do what makes you feel happiest.
Small towns can be difficult. I grew up in smalltown Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan, and Georgia so I feel you there about not knowing anyone. I’m out near San Francisco now, but that was a choice because I felt like I was suffocating in the Midwest. I’ve been here 4 years now but it still overwhelms me how accepting this city is since it’s just not what I’m used to.
And you’re welcome. Or did I say that already? ;]
