Oh goodness, that’d be a nightmare for me.  I like enclosed spaces, but I was starting to go nutter in Spain the last time in my flat without any windows (except to an elevator shaft). :\

We have a whole wall of windows, but again, we’re paying a ridiculously high rent for what we’ve got…I’m used to Midwestern prices where something under 1K could buy you 2-3 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms, inclusive, plus parking, etc, etc.

Pretty sure 1K would buy my car a space in the city.  For a month.
