Well, not in large Midwestern cities.  But in suburbs and small towns?  Certainly.

Funny note, my parents’ first home cost $27,000.  But this was back in the 1980s so it probably doesn’t matter.

But yeah, with a budge of $150,000, you could get something nice everywhere but a rich suburb or a straight-up city (like Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chicago, etc.).

The only thing I miss about the Midwest, really.  One of the only things… cost of living out here is ridiculous.
